The source of la Loue. Views of Franche-Comte.

Franche-Comte is amazingly plentiful region with its water resources - rivers, lakes, waterfalls. It is possible to total up to ten large lakes, each famous for remarkable beauty and purity. Main rivers of the province are the Doubs, Saone, Ain, espeshialy beautiful Loue and those streams which are smaller but in kind fascinating, Ognon and Dessoubre. Franche-Comte rivers are pristine and rich in various fish species. They say, it is fishermen's paradise there. Not surprisingly, the culinary of the province is ample with fish dishes, which are present in menus in large numbers. Franche-Comte province has excellent conditions for recreation on the water, both for cruises lovers, as well as for active tourists. The latter happily sail down upper streams of the rivers by kayaks or canoes.
