The Park of volcanoes (Parc des Volcans) in Auvergne occupies territory of 395 000 ha. It is one of the main natural sights of France. In addition to mountain and valley walking tourists (especially children) enjoy an interactive educational volcanic exhibition "Vulcania".
Located in the heart of the Auvergne on the two departments in the Cantal and the Puy-de-Dome, it is the largest regional park in France. The altitude ranges between 400 and 1886 m and stretches for 120 km from north to south. The park is 395070 hectares spread over the 2 departments. It is composed of 153 common territorial partners and 20 municipalities (excluding perimeter), which bring together 91200 inhabitants.
